First of day of school, I have already printed my first Java tutorial notes. The school as usual, flooded with students from different schools. Like other days, I expected to see my friends. After waited for about 15 minutes, I decided to explore the IT block on my own. On the way there, I met Munawar who happens to wait for his friend. To my surprise, I met Glenn too. He obviously didn't come for the orientation because he didn't have the matric card with him. He said that he had first lesson at 9 but there was no one there. I told him that some subjects doesn't have any tutorials for the first week. Sadly, he had to wait for another two hours for the next lesson.
While waiting for the lesson, I told Glenn to take his matric card at OSC(One Stop Centre). There was long queue at TSS station and I was wondering whether those who had to attend the 9 o'clock session could make it. In a minute later, Melissa turned up. She obviously wanted to print her own lecture notes. So, we had to leave Glenn along(felt guilty) and proceeded to blk 1. We actually could use Blk 3 labs to print but I didn't know until I was informed. Upon entering the computer lab, I quickly took the nearest seat next to a printer which was shared by 20 computers. I guess that lab was a free access as there is no timetable fix at the door. With the last page printed out, I went out to Blk 4.
The tutorial room was pretty small and I had to squeeze to move in. It was no problem, I could settle in quickly without much difficulties. After everyone was present, a lecturer introduced himself as Peter Choy. So for the rest of the semester, he is going to teach me Java. Of course, being the first day of school, he just explained about the teaching plan. He also briefly played a simple game of numbering yourself where you could not pronounce or read out any number which has 4,6 and 9. It was great for those who are really muddle headed. After that, he briefly explained some of the topics that will be going through. It was simple though but I wasn't anticipated anything easy. Later, we had a lecture at LT9 which is located at level 1. Without further ado, I went off without the rest and to find myself seated behind Zili. It was a mass class where everyone who sat for the same subkect come together. First was about FDCNK, fundamentals of Communication Networking. I wasn't really paying attention because he used too technical term. Next lecture was on FNDB, fundamental of Data Base. I guess that was one of the easiest to score. So, I wasn't worried that much about that. As soon as the last lecture ends, the students head for the canteen. I decided to join Zili and his friend for lunch. They had nothing afterwards so they are free to wander or go home. As for me, I still had to attend my FDCNK lab work.
It was just basic understanding about the PC hardware so I just thing it is just a repititive for me. The new things were about UTP cables and the the network setting and which cable for which purpose. Once done, I quickly left for home and thinking what could be next for tomorrow. I wonder what to wear tomorrow. There was so much things to do. Alright, I better keep an eye for my printer.
See ya.
