I was really exhausted yesterday that I could not even update my blog. The second day of orientation was pretty much better than the previous one.
I arrived pretty early and to find Kai Xing and Melissa, who was waiting for me. We thought of waiting for Zili who was later met at the connecting bridge to our school. Even though the sky was grey and moody, I have always pinned a high hope to get a better day for myself. Upon arriving at LT1, many of them have already seated down and I took my seat, as usual, at the end of the row, directly in the center of the LT. My classmates were already seated and they were engrossed in their own conversations. I also tried to break the ice but could say that I'm pretty shy. After a very long wait, we finally had the temperature taking moment. I just wonder when this would end. Sadly enough, we couldn't go out because of the heavy downpour. Even so, the LT heads had made the moment really great by teaching us cheers and jeers. I practically enjoying myself. The OLs are also enjoying themselves too. We play "sound-system" where the far two corners made the "tak" sound and we, who were in the middle did the "boom" sound. Pretty interesting with so much of coordination. We proceed to the difficult ones which involves a lot of sound. In the end, we could still make it. How interesting can it gets. So much so, we have learnt a variety of cheers, songs and also the "pepsi-cola" jeer. The nursery rhymes were also sang, meant to irritate other schools.
Finally, after the rain had abated, we could finally move out of the LT. We proceeded to the "spider-web game" which it consist of many web holes, and we had to cross into them. Pretty difficult I must say with the strings almost trip me. Next station was the bubble game, where you had to make foam out of piece of soap. Next we proceed to "monster" station, this station was a killer. Its object was to make a monster that consist of 3 heads, 6 large eyes, 19 hands, 8 legs, 6 and half horns, 2 and a quater wing, and 3 and a quater tail. That really requires a lot of thinking to be done. In the end we manage to get something like that. If could possibly come an idea with 18 people around you. Next we went to the "fill-up bottle" game. In order to proceed, we had to sing the "irritating song" which was quite irritating also. It was OL Anson who was in charge of that station. We met class C055 along the way too. They were from the MWC(Mobile Web Computing). When they start to jeer at us, we started to sing the "London Brigde" song which I think make them really pissed of. In the end we cheer altogether as one IT school. We had so much fun. After so much play and cheering(and also jeering), we proceed back to our LT to wait for our lunch. In the mean time, we also play games inside there. Of course, I had to go for my prayers.
Upon returning, I met Haider and Yasin on their way to their respective schools. But Yasin was returning library book which could only be access at Lobby C due to construction work. Heard from them that they had a better orientation where all schools had their final day, water-bombing at each other. Fun isn't it? Too bad, due to SARS, we missed it altogether. The library was very high up, in fact it is 10-storey high. I followed Yasin to explore the library. It was really a comfortable. The books are pretty much relevant. Some of the textbooks were stored in the Red Spot section which was to return strictly after two hours. (that's what I heard from Yasin). After so and so, Yasin went off to Hai Sing for helping out at the CCA.
Later I found the others eating their lunch but I had no idea where the rest had gone to. Speak of the devil, they emerged from upper staircase landing. They had actually toured around the school. I quickly joined to them to see our lecture rooms. Not really big. We have to move around to other classrooms too but fortunately there will be not much move around because the lessons conducted in the same room or the same LT. Of course, I would also like to meet Zili when we meet in the same LT. After that, we watched a really disgusting cartoon, more like gross. It was flash and I couldn't remember what was the address. It showed a nutty squirrel who was desperate to get a candy bar. He went to the dispenser machine and put a coin in it but the dispenser won't dispense the candy. Desperate, the squirrel put his hand into the dispense hole at the bottom and tried to grab it at the top of the case. He got it but it won't budge. With all his might, he pulled so hard that his wrist was detached from it and blood began to spurt out of his hand. Frantically, he tried to get back his hand, and he kicked the machine. The whole machine collapsed onto him with the bits of class punctured into his head. Miracally, he got his candy in his mouth. Sadly, the sharp spiral dispenser began to bore into his eyes and blood start to ooze out from all sides. When I watched it, it was really gross.
Next it was the answering question game. If no one got it right, they had to do a forfeit. Some of the questions were really difficult. I had to do forfeit for my class as they had no provided the answer. In the end I got painted on my face. Luckily it was not that bad compared to the others. I wonder where they will put up the picture. Some of them had to drink tobasco, and also salted coffee, mixed of juices, salt water, chili sauce with coke, plain water. I was so lucky not to drink that. The worst forfeit is to kiss. Luckily we got the question correct and escaped from such forfeit. Lucky for that guy who had to girls to kiss him for 10 seconds. His face was blushing.
Finale part was to meet at the astro turf with other IT students. We cheer and jeer and made a lot of noise. We were equally powerfull, and most of the times much better than the rest of the LTs. All because we learnt sorts of craps from Sent. We made the kallang wave and the cheer marathon kept going on for quite sometime. Despite the drizzle, I could sense some spirit amongst them. Even the OLs also enjoying themselves. Overall, we had so much fun on the second day, pretty amazing and really great.
When it comes to depart, I could say I sense something at loss. We will not going to see Sent because he has graduated already but will be remembered by his cheer. Litterally, his cheer is good enough to remember him. We mentioned the OLs' names and we had final cheer before we depart. They did an amazing job and they deserved great attention. Really great. No doubt about it.
LT1 rocks along with the OLs and LT heads.
