Alas, I met my cousin, Azmi Wiggins. After a round about in Little India, I finally found New Park Hotel which they are staying in.
I was so delighted and hugged him like never hug before. He was there with his auntie and from the day they arrived here, I was so desperate to get hold of them. I did meet Azmi, for the first time, when I went to England with my cousin. I was like wow, just a year ago and we finally get to meet again. Imagine, he only lives alone with his late father at that point of time. I felt very sorry for him of course.
After school, I thought of paying him a visit so I did. Afraid that he might go out, I called him but they never bother to pick up the phone. I pinned my hopes high just to meet them. All the way from Tampines to Little India, it really pays off. My heart beats wildly when his aunt opened the door and yet I was surprised by another two cousin of mine, they were like who the hell am I. If I were to write the whole family history here, it won't end. So I introduced myself for the first time and they did mention few cousin of mine. Quite surprisingly that I don't know that their memory work was that good. I sat by the bed, Azmi was still in the bathroom. When I shooked hands with him, he took a moment to recall and amazingly he did. He just grabbed me and gave me huge warm hug.
I missed those hugs when I left for Egypt and now I got that hugs again. We exchanged contact numbers and he told his life in London. He also got a new girlfriend who was claimed to be very caring and hardworking, maintaining his house. I really hate to see him leave again and as the matter of fact, he is leaving tomorrow. Oh, how I wished that he could stay a few days more, just a few days.
Then again, I'm very determined to go to England next year and wish could stay there for two weeks. Sometimes we might often feel that family bonding can go stretch around the globe no matter how foreign you are. I going to miss him a lot. And I really do.
