Last Saturday, I went for Belayer Course which was relatively easy and fun. Although, there is so much things to pay attention, it is still very fun to belay people. Well, if you don't know what it is, belaying needs some body to take care of you while you climb on the rock wall. To be able to belay someone, you have to pass the course and it is not easy.

First of all , you need to know the safety aspect that we had to pay a lot of attention to. Example, we have to check each other's harnesses, the tying of figure-8 rope and of course, the belaying device. It also has some steps involve and the correct way to 'take in'. It involves on touting the rope and also to encourage our climbers to be on their own.

Unfortunately, on that day, I was partnered with somebody was not able to belay me properly. It is not that I forced myself, but I want her to practice more. Although very risky, but I didn't climb that high.I will try to belay someone on Monday when we have the training. It is fun when you know how to do it.
