Ok...I'm here again...for the second time of the day....that's show how free I'm...
I have discovered that my English is getting horrible here so I'll try my best to make it better in this post...
I have finished my work as of 4.34 PM (Chennai time) and kept looking for my Project Manager (PM) but he seemed a bit busy entertaining clients...I have managed to deployed my work at the web server but the only thing is that it wasn't available on it so I had to use external browser...ok never mind what I said...
I seriously getting bored here and tired of reading documents after documents...The time really crawls to a much slower pace..much, much slower than a snail's...Oh, our so called "territory" have loads of people shifting about and the then-unoccupied cubicles were now filled with people from other departments...yeah, I know, so what has it got to do with me right? Well, first I got to share the then dedicated phone. Ext 718 with other 5 people...Of course, I couldn't be selfish and even I got the phone, who am I going to call...besides the god-damned taxis...
Sidetrack a little bit...
This morning, minus the cab incident, I read my map to see where is East Coast Road...yeah, there is East Coast Road here in Chennai but don't expect to see some hot babes playing volleyballs. Anyway, it was suppose to be some sort of entertainment place where you could literally enjoy. Here in the heart of T.Nagar wasn't that interesting unless you could afford to travel up towards Anna Salai stretch where major shopping centres are.
Along that road too, there is this ever famous cinema complex, the Sathyam Complex. I managed to get there but the place was packed with hordes of teenagers eager to get their tickets. Hrm...you may asked how packed it is...well, let's see...first, the place wasn't that huge...just picture our Tampines Pavillion which houses the KPool and the KTV, but slightly bigger, with people thronging in like going to TM...that's the kind of packed...When it comes to our turn, we could barely hear him because of the din...and with simple hand gesture, he indicated that the ticket has been sold out...I wasn't that keen either ...so I went back again to the shopping mall that I fond of...Spencer Plaza...
I went around to look for good buys and went down to the levi's but the thing that I want wasn't there. Not so dejected, I went around to see what I could pick for my family...there were loads of things there shoes, leather jackets, clothes, accessories and even antiques...
Most of the things there weren't catchy enough for me until I spot this a pair of slippers with a strawmat-like base...kinda cool...without bargaining, I bought it for about SGD4...except that the sole is a little too thin...
I still haven't plan what to buy for my family yet and I shall asked them to call me what they want...they only concern is how am I going to carry them in my not-so-big luggage. I still have my harry potter book 6, the da vinci and my struts...and I'm intending to buy two more books, the Head First series...Kinda disappointing, I didn't get what I want when I saw it at Isetan before I left for Chennai...
Just another 18 more days to Christmas and 23 more days to New Year...speaking about New Year...we are going to miss the fireworks...a real miss...even in Chengdu, there is still a fun fair..but here...what to expect except dust and inconsiderate drivers...
I don't want to sound like a brat but they should have some standards...
I was lucky enough that I didn't get the food poisioning but wasnt' that lucky to stuck to the monotonous life here....
Life here = Every morning wake up , go to work, come back, sleep.
That's all...
We have to bear with the killer traffic, and the monotonous journey between Chetpet and TNagar...we also have only one so-called reliable groceries store Food World...and the only shopping center that I know of...
I still have yet to see the East Coast Road which they have claimed to be a major tourist spot...I just don't want to see yet another dull life as the Pondy Bazaar...
I really cannot keep my criticism to be soft...but I say that this is the softest criticism I can give....
Food sometimes were charged exorbitantly...with ridiculous taxes...the traffic and pot-holed-roads, people were seen urinating in the public, and faeces are all over the place...and yet, posters promising better future never seemed realised...in a contradictory note though, the civilised part of this city seemed to be too progressive that they claimed to be number one in cheap labour producing quality work...I was dead impressed and really curious how they did it...
Please let me have some life for another 48 more days...
