Hi people!
After such a long time MIA-ing I've decided to blog today.
We actually moved out of our Quanta Zen to Quanta Manyam or Maniam whichever name you prefer. It is because NYP girls are already here to suffer another two months of
pure hell torture Chennai experience.
Aaron actually told them that they might suffer badly due to the conditions here but they claim they are even stronger. So here is a recount of yesterday event.
It was already 2.40 pm to meet the girls. Aaron and the Scandent team has already picked them up from the airport to Quanta Zen. I saw them still unpacking and unpacking and still unpacking until we decided that we played card games using their winnie the pooh playing cards. Quite cute.
Not surprisingly, girls being girls, they brought an arsenal of medicine and food and I think they can open up another Apollo Pharmacy. First I didn't noticed that Yana was a in fact a malay because of her fair skin tone can indicate any difference to the other four.
It was her first few words that came out from her mouth that finally eradicate my guesses. It was impeccable malay tone. Interestingly, she can speak a little chinese....hahahaha...finally, I found my match.
The other girls, Angie, Li Hong, Li Mei and Yee Teng (correct me if I'm wrong :X) occupied the twin bed rooms. For such a long time I never seen a pair of girls shoes and yeap, I kept admiring at their cute sizes.
After they had settled down, we have a brief intro of ourselves and led them to meet auntie our ownly known neighbour. After a brief chat, we procced to Pelita as Yong Hon and Aaron cannot hold it anymore.
I didn't had my lunch because I was somewhat full by eating some chips. Neither do Jimmy as he had cabbage beef for early brunch. So I watched all of them ate as we exchanges some positive views and many negative views of this place. hahahah.
For lunch, our macho aaron decided to blanja them. For what reason? Ask him. I did not. It was later then we proceed to Spencer's Daily aka Food World to shop for their groceries. Of course our valiant Mr Saiful decided to push their shopping cart around for them. Lolx. I have no comments on that one.
Following our itenerary, we were supposed to meet Shannon and Bridget to treat them for dinner followed by a long awaited firework display. Of course we did met except for a few last minute glitches which I managed to handle perfectly. hahaaha...(Praising myself :x)
Upon the arrival of Shannon and wife Bridget, they had a prompt intro and off we went to Bella Ciao at Kottivakampuram. The food was superbly nice and in fact was quite cheap. We had sort of diced tomato spread on a garlic bread. It was fantastic. Then we had four types of thin crusted italian-styled pizza which I had 5 slices of them. I was awfully full.
The dinner ended with a cup of coffee for us except the girls. Then we proceed to launch our SGD40 fireworks. We were very fortunate because the skies were clear and the moon shine so brightly. Aaron, Yh and Jimmy lighted up their fireworks and it burst into crimson red and green. It was a spectacle. I just couldn't help myself to stare at them against the dark skies. Then we launched a 200 shots of fireworks which burst quite fast. Again I was marvelled by it. There is no words to describe it as I really had not experienced this even in Malaysia.
It was also equally apt for the girls to welcome them nicely here. Talking about welcoming nicely, we weren't greeted with nice dinner except instant noodles. No groceries. No clue where to visit nice place. Greeted by cow dung and stuff and all the ugly sight of india. They didn't even have to wait for a month to discover Shannon. Wah!! Heart pain
But after learning that they were sort of being cheated like us, I discovered that they were even felt more cheated than us. I guess we try to liven their mood on that night so that they had a wonderful day to start off.
I wish you luck girls.
