I tried not to blog about my unhappiness with a taxi ride with Comfort cab SHA 4633Y..He is Mr. Chua if I'm not wrong...
The trip went wrong after he made the right turn into Tampines Ave 12 via Tampines Ave 9...He rebutted when I asked him whether does he know where is Compass Pt is and he raised his tone that the expressway is faster...I was like Duh!! but it was too late as I realised I was already on Tampines Ave 12 and he sharply turned into the expressway..
The ideal route is by the SBS 27 route, which is Tampines Ave 9 and then turn right into Tampines Ave 10 which then can cut through only 3 traffic light junctions and be on the expressway in just a minute...I can cut cost at least a dollar plus...It doesn't stop there...
It stayed on strangely on the third fast lane which I thought he would cut into the left most lane to exit to Sengkang which could reach the Compass Point in less than 2 minutes given the traffic condition which is mildly congested...He made yet another unexpected stunt which he exited and made one big round to reach the Compass Point...I was trying to say, "Uncle, if you want my $10, say so" I kept my composure because I was already 10 minutes late...
The total ride cost me $8.50 and I can't remember how much it should cost from Tampines Ave 2 to Compass Pt.
I would urge everyone who is very dependent on taxis to beware of
Mr Chua Ter Tee of SHA 4633Y Blue Comfort cab, Not worth a ride which should cost less than $6...
From now on, I would think, not twice, but a lot, lot, lot of times whenever I want to cab because it is just not worth it if you are not rushing or just rushing for the sake of rushing....
I know cabby woes are a plenty but they shouldn't exploit people like me, I'm not stupid to give directions around Tampines, Bedok and Pasir Ris which I could admit that I'm seldom wrong about my directions around these areas particularly Tampines and Pasir Ris...
I hope they don't exploit the clueless delegates who are coming to our tiny island...Cab driver who are similar or clones of Mr Chua Ter Tee should be banned from driving cab or should give a basic navigation courses....
Moral of the story: The first thing you got a cab, tell them that you wanted to go on your own way!! Except for peak hours which some Uncles or possibly Aunties might offer a better solution not like Mr Chua Ter Tee...I doubt commuters are going to fall for the peak hours...So here I give the details of the peak hours that you should avoid especialy when you see a plate number SHA 4633Y looming towards you....
Peaks hours are from
7.00AM to 9.30AM for Monday to Friday, no more Saturday mornings and for evening 5.00PM to 8.00PM for Monday to Saturday So watch out guys as when you boarded a cab around the stated time it would be
$4.50 without an inch moved...
I'm so damned pissed but I won't digress it any further or else it would induce unnecessary stress...
Watch out for Mr Chua Ter Tee of SHA 4633Y...Don't tell me that you have not been warned!!
