Next week, I'm going to POP out of HTA and see where i'm going to be posted to...hopefully, somewhere nearer my house....(*cross fingers)
Hrm...Our POP rehearsals were great and it definitely going to be huge success but the parade commander has to be of top quality...I don't think he could take it that well even though he is coached by our famous moustached Mr. Firdaus...
Of course the overall in charge for this parade is FI Redzuan and he has painstakingly taken every consideration and every second of his time to perfect the parade. He can be quite demanding and very stressful as his supervisor always checked on every detail of the formation. There were some of them who couldn't even register some instructions despite countless rehearsals...
For me, I was in the front row and quite crucial because I'm in front...(*duh) So yeah, I cannot stop being rigid and make my move as sharp as possible.. That damn rifle is quite heavy as compared to revolver...Nevertheless, our squad have no problems in the rehearsal and hopefully our master parade, which is like preview parade, going to be a success...
It would only be one thing that could spoil all this, (*touch wood) hopefully, it won't rain on that day or else, we train up for nothing...It would be a damn waste....
Hope that everybody could come down for rehearsal on Monday so that we could actually know our exact positions...Everytime they reported for light duty, we have to keep changing places and it is quite irritating...
Being a police trainee has made me realise that we are actually needed all the time. Be it for the countdown for crowd control, GEs rally, JI incident and of course, our general well being...
Like one of the saying goes " Experience is the worst teacher you can get; It'll test you first and then you learn yourself" I know I can't rely on my squad mates anymore but really wish to see them on the streets..
Maybe some post as SAs, NPCOs or even SOC...
The past four months in HTA has proven to be too little. It is just a training ground that tries to make it realistic for officers like me....
Ever since day one I was in there, I really don't know how I'll manage it... First, I have to come alone all the way from tampines. The chartered bus failed to come on time. We waited for hours in the MPH...and lots more...
We have to count ourselves lucky as our training officially starts 3 weeks after we enlisted...So many things cocked up but we managed to get the best FI.
Then most of them were busy with the 124th intake POP and again we were left alone most of the time...
We escaped water parades, keluar baris automatically, didn't salute to SSI...loads more...
We always managed to get ourselves away from trouble...We almost get caught by Deputy Comander of Tracom for failing to fall in for Mass Calisthenics...hahahah...
Squad 49/06 shall be remembered always...
