This week had been the interesting week and we gonna have lots of fun. Of course, we had already started to drive last Thursday.
Although the timing sucks, from 6 to 10 approximately, we were still excited after major stalls and hard brake in the circuit.
The instructor was very friendly and have high expectation of you. Since you are a policeman, you should have no problem of grasping the foundation quickly. So, I got this instructor who was very friendly and he teach me very fast. I lost most of points and I had to be guided with him again.
When I got my hands on the wheels for the first time, I felt quite nervous. I started out in the circuit itself and tried out the first module of the course. That is the negotiating bends and identifying the 'biting' point. It was packed with other learners also. Thus, I was quite panicky whenever the front car install right in the middle of the road. After a while, I got faster.
I admit that I'm a slow learner. I can't register whatever my instructor said. There would be one point he would instruct me to step on the brake and I did but later he said he changed and said released the brake within split seconds. My reaction wouldn't be that good as those who had tried it before.
He was very nagging and I tried to listen and paying attention on the road. I was quite disappointed when he never give me any leeway for myself to correct it on my own. I never argue back, of course. When I can get the hang of it, he just kept quiet and let me drive. Even though I made a blunder he kept quiet first. Then, he explained what I have done and shouldn't repeat at the next lesson.
I drove at Tampines yesterday. I practiced changing of gear and shifting down quickly without coming to a halt. I know it may sound easy but believe me from high speed to change to down to second gear, I think it is for the pro. Anyway, I managed after several times.
We going to continue to drive for the next month too and hopefully I can pass. I used to think that driving is easy but now, I know how difficult it is.
Try playing psp while your mother is nagging. Most of the time, you would concentrate on your psp. Here, I was trying to concentrate on the nagging and at the same time on the road. There was one bangla just dash out of no where. I was damn scared. Luckily, my instructor stepped onto the brake on time or else I would have killed that idiotic bangla. Do take note, it was already at night.
It was tiring after each lesson. At about 10.30 and we reach our camp around 11.00. By then, my body was collapsing. The very next morning, we have to wake up at 5.30 then get ready for flag raising by 6.40. This going to continue consecutively. Fortunately, we have Wednesday break.
If you happen to see me on the road, pardon me for being a slow when moving off from the junction. Thanks.
