Hi there!...I had a very busy week since last 2 weeks...I wanted to blog so much till I had forgotten what to blog...so here goes..
I had 2 days attachement at Bishan NPC with my colleague Derrick. The attachement was okay with nothing much for us to do on the first 2 days. Since you may not know what I have been doing lately, I was already posted to 'E' Division aka Tanglin Division. For the benefit of the doubt, it is located next to KK Hospital.
It is one of THE busiest divisons covering central part of Singapore and it has 5 NPC. Tanglin Division shares the central area with Central Police Division. It is common to see us conducting combine operations every now and then.
Although it is very far from my place, I quite like the NPC itself. There is leisure rooms like the gymnasium and staff lounge where we can rest or have a quick nap before our shift starts. Of course, I would have opted a nearer one in Bedok. It is all up to the management now.
Right, our exams is next week and I have to start my revision. Nobody expects anything to be the same like the one we used to take during our 3-months BPT. Most of the issues have already been covered by then.
Once our exams are over, we will posted out of TRACOM. Finally, after a full 7 months plus inside it, we are free from the clutches of the senior officers. 5th of April was the day we are all going to face the challenges out there.
It is true that when we are inside, we are "protected" from the harms of the outside. Our OC squads sometimes tried to shield us from "attacks". FIs also have been very friendly and it seems that they are too busy with new squads till the have no more FIs to take charge of us.
The important thing that I have learnt in TRACOM is that we have to take responsibility in whatever we did. Sometimes we did something bad and never get caught. I know it is very risky but when it is over, the sigh of relief is just enough.
I had enough of people taking risk after risk in the expense of others. I know we are going to get caught somehow and still some logger heads keen on doing it anyway. I have no idea where is their brains gone to.
Next week is going to be our last week in TRACOM. Everybody will go to different postings and get to meet different management. It was pretty fast and yet we want to get out of TRACOM so badly.
The 3 months with the new squad NPCO was a great one. Of course I had fun with them. We get to strum the guitar in the middle of the night and almost got screwed. Escaping water parades. Storm barrack from NSPI. FX training like Paintball shootings. Escape PT. Screw the new FI. Get caught by COBTC. The list never ends.
I wonder whether we will meet again or not.
Ciaos.
