I'm attached....
to Bishan NPC...hahahaha..
Yeah, I started working from today and familiarise myself with the job scope. I don't expect much from the NPC for these few days because I'm still in the learning process...It is like teaching the cub how to hunt. So yeah, I just sit in it and observed whatever is going on in the NPC.
I really like team Delta because I'm so comfortable with them. Although they never teach about anything, they would never leave you behind even for a coffee break. Their team spirit is there and when the wanted to have a break, they would like to call in the others to have a break with them. I know they are supposed to be staggered breaks between teams, but it is usually possible with the counter officers.
Today, I was driven around by a VSC known as Voluntary Special Constabulary Phillip Lim. He showed me the boundary of Bishan NPC. I found out that it was relatively small.
About the stomp, I began to realise its destructiveness and unimaginable consequences if any police officers caught red handed doing something they shouldn't do. Singaporeans tend to complain and make mountain out of a molehill. Just because of this, another platform Stomp.sg was created solely for the public to snap/video anything that caught their attention and mail it to stomp. I haven't tried to post anything in stomp so I don't know if it accepts entries from an anonymous Stomp-er.
There are some who use it to highlight an emphasised some of the kindness that we have and others used it to condemn, complain or to boycott. Complaint has been a norm to us, the police officers. Of course we do take complaints seriously and watch out certain things that we should do and shouldn't do. So police officers see Stomp as their watchful supervisor from "spies" aka the public. Once any photos/complaints involving police officers get into Stomp, our superior will get agitated and seek that the matter to be resovled at that instant.
Now, SPF has to be service oriented and not a merciless, ruthless law enforcement unit. Everyone of us including foreigners like Bangladeshi, Phillipines equal. No favoritism or violence shall be enforced towards them.
Being a police officer is really challenging. Everyday we fought to strive the public peace and order. I'm not saying this because I'm a PO myself. I think we need some cooperation from the public or else we would lose everything together.
