It was father's day. If nobody reminded me of the day, I would have forgotten all about it.
How did I glorify this day? Nothing much. There's no much fan fare like Mother's Day where there would be lines of activities for the whole family. I just celebrate with my cousin whose wife cooks a korean buffet ala Seoul Garden. It was just a makan session which ended quite nicely with a cake.
When I think about being a father, maybe I wouldn't expect that much either. Not a single wish, no presents, no gifts, etc. I didn't expect any of that at all.
Honestly, I don't give a damn about Father's Day. Why? People can be really hard to be appreciative. A small thanks would also be hard to some. Yes, many would disagree with what I said but daddys have much more important agendas.
They would think that Father's Day is just another ordinary day with nothing much to spend with the family. It is very lucky that Father's Day falls on Sunday which I believed most dads would be at home, spending precious time with family members.
We should be glad there's Father's Day. Honour what they have done for us to live comfortably. Dotes on us and trying their best to shower their love in different manner that our mums.
Happy Father's Day.
