I woke up late this morning. I suppose to wake up at 6.15 but ended up waking an hour later and it made me sprang from my bed. I t00k a super quick shower, grabbing any clothes and dash off to Tampines MRT Station and still arrived miraculously at 8am sharp.Phew.Any later than this, I'm going to be late on the first day the school starts.
Of course, I managed to stepped into the classroom, a minute to 8.30 before the lesson starts. Eliza Quek, adjunct professor, donned in turqoise blouse with a matching hairband, smiling at me as I chose my seat nearest to the exit. Business, Government and Society was the subject of interest in the morning and I forced myself to keep myself awake for at least 4 hours.
The subject was very interesting except that I felt too sleepy to engage in a fiery discussion with my fellow classmates on business ethics and what nots. When the lesson was about to finish, David Chow, the Teaching Assistant randomly selected some of us, including me, to choose a topic which we would do for the entire semester. In a lucky draw manner, our team picked
"The Rise of the Machines and the Financial Crisis". An absolutely wonderful topic to begin towards neverending stress and sleepless nights.
I know I shouldn't be so pessimistic about handling projects. It's not about handling them, it is about how are you going to work in teams. In our first lesson, we learned about Paradoxes. Look up in the dictionary if you don't know. It means that we have to strike a balance whether to be firm or friendly. It's hard to accomplish something without this skill.
Right now, I'm waiting for my next class at 3.30. Introductory Economics. I know I sucked at business-centric element but it is an inevitable subject that is required in order to graduate. So, good luck to me. I don't want another Statistic-syndrome which drags me to the bottom of the pit.
