The new school term has already started and I'm fretting the shit load that will come soon after. On the first day of school, I had forgotten to bring my school pass but managed to get in with the help of my school mates.
So, the first lesson of the week was Information Security & Trust taught by China prof. No, I'm not against the China citizens, it is just the enunciation of every word made it very painful lesson. For the half of the lesson, I was not that interested at all. Come on, at 8.30am in the morning and you expect a full class participation. I paid attention when he moved on to Project part and he randomly chose our team. My friends and I decided to go against with it and managed to sort it out with our Teaching Assistant (TA).
After I had a quick lunch at Koufu, I headed for my next class Global Software Project Management led by Benjamin Gan. He told us that we have the opportunity to work with students who are in other parts of the world. He cited that we may be working with Qatari students and students from Boston. It sounds interesting but he likes to digress and talk about something else.
The following day, Computer Analysis Tool (CAT) was quite disappointing. Early in the morning the professor suggested that we should drop the course if we could not take it. The thing is that, he already had 3 sessions under him and the Registrar decided that he should take another session due to high demand. He retaliates this by telling everybody that we should drop the course. Is this how an Associate Prof should behave? I was already quite turn off by the style he is teaching. No doubt that he has a number of accolades and being one of the professors who is highly sought after.
After his class, I headed to my next class, Enterprise Integration (EI). It is one of the successful bidded modules I have besides IST. Luckily, it is not that stressful and the course is pretty new to me. Some of my classmates have the reputation of getting straight As and I think it is quite competitive to get that grades.
Overall, I love my timetable as my weekend starts on Wednesday. Yeap. I had full 5-day rest and hopefully it will stay that way.
